Turnpike Field — all donations gratefully received!

As you will have read recently, there have been many suggestions put forward as to how Audlemites would like to see their field used so as to maximise its benefit for the village.
The top 5 of these with more than 50% of the votes cast are:

  • Green Car Park
  • Wildflower areas
  • Seating/Picnic Area
  • Bog Garden/ Wetland/dry walk/Conservation
  • Tree planting/Arboretum

Clearly all of these plans require funding for both their progression and on-going maintenance. In addition to money from Audlem Parish Council funds, other money could hopefully come via any available grants that are being pursued.

On several occasions residents have indicated that they were willing to make a financial donation. The Parish Council has already contacted the residents who made this generous offer with the result that currently in excess of £16,400 has been donated and is 'ring-fenced' for Turnpike Field use. In addition, over £130 has been left in the blue 'ballot box' in Williams' Newsagents where people have kindly left their loose change!!

Donations can be made either by cheque or by online bank transfer and in both cases will need to refer to the unique donation number that is provided to them.
Should you wish to make a donation, please contact the Clerk either at or by phone on 07432 332857. In addition to the payment details, you will be provided with a unique reference number so that donations can be allocated for Turnpike Field and can also be kept anonymous.

In addition to this, there is also the blue 'ballot box' in Williams' Newsagents where many people have kindly left their loose change!!

Many thanks everyone who has made a contribution.
